Hello everyone- If you know "Scott Newton" aka Scotty Rocket aka Boss aka Big Dawg aka Scooter aka Noodles..... you most likely can't help but to love him. Whether you have known him for years or for just a short time, i'm sure he has put a smile on your face more times than you can count. I think I can speak for most of us when I say that Scott's larger than life personality has impacted our lives for the better in one way or another. Now it's time for all of us to send some positivity back his was.
As most of you know, Scott was admitted to the hospital January 14, 2021, and has been in a fight for his life since. While no one could have foreseen what this journey would entail or that his life would be in jeopardy, we all banded together for him and his wife, Ashley. What started with heart issues, has now turned into End Stage Liver Disease, and Acute Kidney Injury. Scott has been in and out of the hospital over the past two months, and is currently being evaluated for a dual liver and kidney transplant. Once he is blessed with the greatest gift that can be given, the gift of life, Scott and his family will have a very long and challenging road ahead.
Ashley and his mom, Rosa, with the help of family and friends, are doing everything they can to try and keep things as normal for their children as possible. As Scott was the main source of income for their household, many adjustments have been made to keep the family afloat with their current income being short term disability. Between hospital bills, copays, prescriptions, the commute and parking to and from the med center daily for Ashley, plus the monthly expenses that already exists with a family of 5, I'm sure this is a point of stress for both of them. Many of you have asked how you can help. Please know that your prayers, calls and donated meals have been so overwhelmingly appreciated, and have truly made a difference to the family. The prayers are working, so please keep them coming. However, we all want to do more to show our support, and make life a little less stressful during this difficult time. The best way we can do that right now is to help alleviate the financial stress this has put on him and his family.
Let's show "The Newton Camp" that they are not alone and how much Scotty Rocket is loved by everyone that his has made a difference in their life.
