Update on Scott 3/16
We wanted to share an update on Scott. As many of you know, he recently had surgery for stage IV thyroid cancer. Following the surgery, he developed significant swelling in his neck caused by a lymphatic leak, a complication that can sometimes occur after this type of procedure.
Doctors drained the fluid several times, but unfortunately the swelling continued to return. Scott was able to go home briefly, but after only a few days the problem came back and he had to be readmitted to the hospital.
He has now undergone another surgery to try to seal the lymphatic leak and stop the fluid buildup.
This has been a difficult setback, but Scott is incredibly grateful for the prayers, messages, and support he has received. It truly means so much to him and his family to know so many people are standing with him during this time.
We will continue to share updates as we learn more. Thank you all for keeping Scott in your thoughts and prayers.
Update on Scott 03/04/26
Scott is back home after another stay at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he was treated for post-surgical complications.

Every message, prayer, donation, and act of support means the world to Scott and gives him strength as he faces the challenges ahead.
Thank you again!
Update on Scott 2/27/26: Scott is back in the hospital due to complications. The doctors ran tests to see what’s going on and started him on antibiotics and steroids. They’re also trying to drain some fluid, which is complicated because it’s mixed with tissue. This is a rare complication related to his surgery and the type of cancer. It’s a setback in an already difficult journey but Scott is strong and still manages to make everyone laugh, even while in pain and uncomfortable . Your continued thoughts and prayers as well as your generous support has been greatly appreciated. Scott is forever grateful
Update on Scott: Scott’s surgery was yesterday, it took longer than anticipated, but the surgeons were able to successfully remove the mass, along with several lymph nodes that have been sent to pathology. Scott is incredibly grateful for the care that he received and for all the prayers.
He’s doing as well as can be expected and is resting while he begins the healing process. He is still waiting to hear what the next steps will be once pathology results come back.
Unfortunately, this is a lifelong cancer diagnosis, so his journey is far from over but he is facing it with the same strength and heart that we all know and love.
Your prayers, messages, shares, and donations have meant more to Scott than he can put into words. They are lifting Scott during this incredibly hard time. Please continue to keep Scott in your prayers as we wait for answers and next steps.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with him. is incredibly grateful for the care he received and for everyone who has been praying, donating and sending love.
