Supporting Sarah Taggart

The death of Sarah Taggart's sister Lauren is an incomprehensible tragedy. Our hearts break for the Taggart family and especially Sarah. In the aftermath of this horrific event, we in the Williamsville South Volleyball program have been talking about how to best support Sarah in the months and years to come.

In the past few years, volleyball has become one of Sarah's greatest passions. One of her goals is to play Volleyball collegiately. As we walk with her in the aftermath of this tragedy, we believe one of the best ways we can support Sarah is to help her reconnect with her passions and encourage her in the pursuit of her goals.

The best collegiate programs run several highly respected resident volleyball camps. The Coaching and level of competition are outstanding and provide a challenging environment that Sarah thrives in. These camps provide an incredible growth opportunity and exposure for athletes trying to get to the next level.

The idea we have is to send Sarah to one of these camps, free of charge. We are also looking to send a friend of Sarah’s choosing to the camp for support. Costs would include the Camp fee, lodging costs and airfare. In addition to the premier Camp, we would also be looking to send Sarah to some local camps at schools where she is looking to be recruited.

We have set an initial goal of $5,000. Any funds raised in excess will go to Sarah's parents to offset the costs of her recruitment efforts.
