Supporting Sam Through an Unimaginable Loss

Hello everyone,

We’ve created this fundraiser for our dear friend Sam, who is going through an incredibly difficult time. Sam is 23 years old and a student at the University of Guelph. In 2017, she lost her father — and in June 2025, her mother also passed away.

Sam is now navigating life without her parents, facing not only overwhelming grief but also the sudden responsibilities of funeral planning, travel, and countless decisions and expenses no one her age should have to handle alone.

We’re hoping to raise funds to help cover the cost of her mother’s funeral, as well as Sam’s travel expenses to and from her hometown in Saskatchewan. Our goal is to ease some of the financial burden so she can focus on grieving and healing.
