Supporting Sam Mazzotta’s Fight Against Cancer: A Family in

I am reaching out on behalf of my family to share our story and ask for your support during one of the most challenging times we’ve ever faced. My name is Samantha Mazzotta, and I am the daughter of Sam and Rosanna Mazzotta.

On April 19th, 2024, our lives were turned upside down when my dad was diagnosed with Advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Oral Cavity Cancer. The news hit us hard, and since that day, we have been on an emotional rollercoaster, doing everything we can to stay strong for my dad.

Shortly after his diagnosis, my dad underwent major surgery to remove the cancer. This was a significant step in his battle, but it was only the beginning. Now, he is in the midst of a difficult and exhausting course of radiation treatment, which requires incredible physical and emotional strength. My dad is fighting with everything he has, but as you can imagine, the toll it has taken on him—and our family—has been immense.

During all of this, my mom has been a pillar of strength for us, taking on the responsibility of being the sole provider while caring for my dad. However, with my dad unable to work and the medical bills and everyday bills steadily mounting, we are finding it increasingly difficult to manage the financial strain. My mom is doing everything in her power to keep us afloat, but the costs associated with treatment, medications, and daily living expenses are becoming too much for us to handle alone.

This is why we have made the difficult decision to ask for help by creating this GoFundMe page. We hope to raise enough funds to ease the financial burden on my mom and allow us to focus on what truly matters—my dad’s recovery. Your generous donations will go directly toward covering medical expenses, treatment-related costs, and essential household needs during this challenging time.
