Supporting Ryan to get a ramp & medical supplies

Donation protected
My daughter Ryan in her final semester of her bachelors program went numb from her ankles to her chest over the course of several weeks, losing the strength to walk. After a 10 day hospital stay where the doctors ran the gamut of tests and she completed an IVIG infusion treatment for Guillain Barré Syndrome (GBS), she is now back home, learning to get around in a wheelchair while trying to finish her degree. She is doing physical and occupational therapy at home, trying to regain her strength and ability to walk again, but it is unknown how long she will be numb and weak, or if living in a wheelchair will be a permanent life change. Doctors are currently unsure if she definitely has GBS or if there is permanent nerve damage. In the meantime, she can barely stand and is unable to walk, and entering and exiting our home has been a significant challenge.

Given all of this, Ryan needs a ramp installed to get in and out of our home and we’ve had to purchase things like a wheelchair, a walker, and a host of other supportive devices to make living at home possible.

Please consider contributing to our fund to get Ryan a ramp and support her to purchase necessary medical supplies, so she can sustain life at home with more ease and finish her degree!
