Overcoming Leukemia • Ryan George
Donation protected
We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers that have been poured out by those near and far. Many have been asked what else they can do to help support Ryan, Katieanne and family during this uncertain time. The intention of this Go Fund Me is to raise donations to help ease the financial burden for Ryan and Katieanne as they work to heal Ryan.
Ryan & Katieanne’s story:
At the start of November, 34 year old father of 3, Ryan started having severe muscle and bone pain in his back and ribs that would not let up. Bloodwork showed major abnormalities and he was immediately admitted to the hospital. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
The doctor said very cautiously that when treated aggressively, this may be curable ... We praying and holding onto this hope!
Ryan has been at Kaiser in Fontana, CA undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments along with receiving platlet transfusions. Meanwhile, Katieanne is splitting her time between visits to Ryan and being home with their 6 and 4 year old daughters and newborn son. During the first week of treatment Ryan overcame some incredibly scary physical conditions including bacteremia, a possible pulmonary embolism, unbearable pain, unexplained bleeding and incredibly low platelet counts. Treatment time is unknown at this time but doctors have shared that he could be in the hospital for a month and will be off of work for six months or more.
Katieanne and Ryan’s faith is strong and remain confident that God is in control.
