Supporting Russell's Cancer Journey- Raising4Russ

On behalf of our family, I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for visiting Russell's Go Fund Me page.

 

Russ' cancer journey began in 2020, when he was first diagnosed with neck cancer after discovering a lump. After a lengthy period in hospital (during COVID lockdown, meaning just one visitor a day for only an hour), radiation therapy and chemo, he fought a vigorous battle but always kept so positive. They found a tumour in his lungs during a regular check up in 2021. Unfortunately, this cancer in the lungs has recently returned, meaning he will have to undergo treatment again.

 

In true Russell style, he has selected to complete a trial treatment in hope to show this cancer who is boss, supporting modern medicine to help others in the future who are going through this devastating journey.

 

Russell is the most helpful, kind, generous, welcoming, compassionate, and fair person we know. From stopping on the freeway to help someone change their tyre, helping the local football club, to helping others with their renovations or car problems, he helps all those around him (whether they are friends, family, or not). He truly has the biggest heart, and I'm confident if you know him, he has helped you out in one way or more. This is our chance to give back by giving him the opportunity to go through this journey without any financial stress.
