Supporting Russ to Recovery

Russell was earlier this year diagnosed with colon cancer (Stage 3b) and has recently undergone surgery. Russ will be commencing 6 months of chemotherapy and will not be able to work at all during this time. Those in the Mackay Hockey community will know Russ for his dedication to coaching and mentoring up and coming young goalkeepers. He has been a goalkeeper and field player with Brothers Hockey club for many years, and in 2020 was to take on coaching of Brothers A Grade women.
