We at Caldy Cricket Club are coming together to support our former teammate and friend, Rohan, and his family following a life changing accident.

While back home in Sri Lanka, Rohan was involved in a motorcycle accident which tragically resulted in the loss of his leg.

Rohan is an exceptional cricketer and professional player in Sri Lanka. When he joined us at Caldy in 2025, he made an immediate impact, taking over 80 wickets and scoring more than 800 runs. However, his contribution went far beyond what he achieved on the cricket field. He was a fantastic person to have around and a pleasure to share a changing room with.

This accident has had a devastating impact on Rohan's life. Cricket is not only the game he loves, but also his profession and livelihood. He and his family now face significant challenges as they adjust to this unexpected change in circumstances.

We want to do everything we can to support Rohan and his family during this incredibly difficult time. The money raised will go towards helping Rohan access the most suitable prosthetic possible, as well as providing financial support for him and his family as they navigate the challenges ahead.

We are appealing to the wider cricketing community and the public to get behind Rohan and his family. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference, and if you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean a great deal to us.

We will be organising various fundraising challenges and events over the coming months, so please keep an eye on this page for updates.

Thank you to everyone who donates, shares this story or helps us spread the word.
