My name is Fiona Solomon, Referee Liaison for the Albury Basketball Association, and I’m writing to ask for support for our dear friend and colleague, Rob Jacksmith.

On Saturday 19 January, Rob suffered a serious cardiac event and was airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, where he remains while doctors conduct extensive testing and plan the best path forward for

his recovery.

Rob is a much-loved figure in our basketball community. His kindness, leadership, and willingness to help others have left a lasting impact on everyone who knows him.

As Rob begins to understand the seriousness of his condition, his greatest concern is the financial burden this has placed on his mum, who is currently by his side in Melbourne during one of the busiest and most expensive times of the year. Alongside this, Rob continues to

face everyday living expenses, as well as anticipated ambulance, hospital, and ongoing medical costs.

This page has been created to ease financial stress and allow Rob to focus fully on his recovery whilst also having family by his side. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
