Supporting Richard with his cancer crusade

This fundraiser is for our Dear friend Richard “Tricky” Lane.

As some of us may know, Richard was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in June.

SCC is the second most common form of skin cancer and occurs when DNA damage from exposure to ultraviolet radiation or other damaging agents trigger abnormal changes in the squamous cells.

Richard is now undergoing the treatment process of daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. This aggressive treatment schedule has severely limited Richard’s ability to work, which is why we would like to start this fundraiser for him and his family.

Richard is a loving new father to his son, Craig, born in May, and we would like to ask for support for him and his family, especially during the upcoming holidays and to spread awareness for SCC.
