My beautiful mum, Renee, is once again facing a battle no one ever expects to fight twice.
In 2021, mum was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. With incredible strength, resilience, and determination, she went through treatment and came out the other side - rebuilding her health and her life after an incredibly challenging time. We truly believed that chapter was behind her.
Recently, Mum began experiencing unusual vision changes, pressure behind her eyes, and extreme fatigue. What initially seemed like something minor quickly turned into a series of urgent medical appointments and hospital tests.
After extensive scans, doctors discovered a mass on her cerebellum (the part of the brain responsible for balance and coordination), along with additional lesions that doctors believe are cancer-related. Everything has moved incredibly quickly, and our family is still processing this unexpected news.
Mum is now preparing for brain surgery, followed by time in ICU and ongoing treatment as specialists work to fully understand the diagnosis and determine the best path forward.
Anyone who knows Mum knows her as someone who always puts others first - kind, resilient, and quietly strong even in the hardest moments. After everything she has already endured, this new diagnosis has been heartbreaking for our family.
As she focuses on surgery, recovery, and the treatment ahead, we are hoping to ease some of the financial pressure that comes with medical appointments, time away from work, travel costs, and ongoing care needs.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter how small, it would mean the world to our family. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing this page or simply keeping Mum in your thoughts is just as appreciated.
Thank you for surrounding her with love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With love,
Marcie & family ❤️
