My mom Renee was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma, a fast-growing, devastating form of brain cancer that has turned our world upside down.
If you know my mom, you know she is the heart of our family. She is our strength, our calm in every storm — the one we call when life gets overwhelming, when we need advice, comfort, or just someone to pray with us. She has always shown up for everyone around her — not just for us as her children, but for friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even strangers who crossed her path. She has never hesitated to put others first, no matter how tired she was or what she was going through.
My mom is the one who holds us all together, the one who makes sure everyone else is okay. She is the kind of woman who will give you her last dollar, her last ounce of energy, her last bit of strength — because she truly loves her people. She has spent her entire life being there for everyone else… and now, she needs all of us to be there for her.
She loves her children and her grandchildren more than anything in this world. They are her reason to smile, her reason to get up every day, and now — her reason to fight the hardest fight of her life. She is fighting to live as long as she possibly can to watch them grow their own families, to celebrate birthdays, graduations, and to continue being the loving presence and guiding light that she has always been.
But this battle is not only emotionally unbearable — it is financially overwhelming. We are doing everything we can to keep her comfortable and to get her the care that she needs, but the unanticipated costs are far beyond what we can handle on our own. Your donations will help provide everything needed to keep her comfortable, supported, and fighting for as long as she is able. This includes medical expenses, traveling for necessary treatments, final expenses, and the completion of a Bucket List that she and her grandson created together when he was in 2nd grade. He is now a High School Freshman and they have been working to fulfill the list all these years and only have one more thing to cross off!
Her energy and strength now need to be focused entirely on the treatment ahead, with the goal of supporting her comfort and quality of life and not the financial stress and burden that comes along with this fight. If you’re able to contribute, any amount is deeply appreciated. And if a financial contribution isn’t possible, we kindly ask that you keep her in your prayers. If you’re able, sharing this with your friends, family, and community would also be an incredible help.
We will continue to provide updates throughout this journey and remain truly grateful for the support and compassion surrounding her.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you in advance for any and all of your support.
