Supporting Recovery from Tornado Loss in Killingsworth Cove
Donation protected
My name is Kloie Osmer. My grandmother is Dorothy (Dot) Osmer, but we just call her Mamaw. She just turned 84 years old in April. She lost everything she has in the tornado. Thankfully she was not in the house when it got blown away. Her house was built in the 1960s so it is not valued for much, but everything she had in it was worth a lot more. The tornado that came through Killingsworth Cove on May 20, 2025 completely wiped out her house, her shed full of stuff we try to sell in a yard sale to make a little bit of money, and my Granddaddy’s barn. My Grandaddy is no longer with us. He passed away in January of 2023. Of course with him being gone, things are much harder on us as a family. My Mamaw has lost all of her clothes, beds, dishware, everything you have in your house at any given moment. All of the money raised will go towards buying all of the necessities for her. The only clothes she has right now is the ones on her body. Anything we might get will be a huge blessing for our family! We don’t ask for much, and we never ask for help. But this is a special circumstance, and a really terrible one at that. Thank you in advance. The community we have is truly a blessing!
