Unfortunately, and very unexpectedly Douglas Cowpland passed away recently on Sunday, January 29th, 2023,He was only 46 years old.

In late summer 2022 Doug was diagnosed with pancreatitis and since the diagnosis he had been rapidly losing weight, on January 14th 2023 Dougs spleen burst and he was rushed in for emergency surgery.. Unfortunately he never recovered from the surgery and passed away on January 29th..

He is survived by his

wife Eryn, His 5 children Kayla(25),Erika(15),

Andrew(14,Emma(11) & Vincent(9).. his Grandson Rhys(4).. Mother Diane Wark and his twin brother Jamie, brother Ricky & his step siblings Cody and Amanda Smithson

They are devastated by this loss, as Dougie was the foundation of their family. Dougie loved his wife, kids and Grandson more than anything.

If you were lucky enough to know Doug you’d recognize him from his great smile and happy personality. He always worked hard for his family and spent many years working for West End Forming, He was a loving husband, father, son,grandfather , brother, Uncle and friend of many..

We have started this funeral and memorial fundraiser to help cover the cost of Dougies funeral expenses and to help Eryn raise thier wonderful children.

Dougs death was sudden and unexpected Eryn was unprepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this challenging time, we are reaching out to the community for help.

Doug lives through his beloved children, Kayla, Erika, Andrew , Emma and Vincent.

We hope to raise funds to assist Eryn in giving the children the life Dougie would have given them if he had the blessing to see them grow up. They are all very bright children with their father's smile.

Eryn was working from 9:00am to 7:00pm seven days a week before the death of her husband. Now, after Dougs passing, she will surely meet long-term challenges emotionally and financially while raising their five children as a widow.
