Supporting Randy Through Cancer

Friends, family, and wider community,

We are reaching out today to ask for your help in supporting Randy & Luann during this enormously difficult time. For those of you who don’t know, uncle Randy means the world to me. He has been in my life since I was a baby and he has always been a father figure. In fact, I chose Randy to walk me down the aisle on our wedding day. A memory I will forever cherish. ❤️

Randy is always happy, has strong faith, loves to crack jokes, and radiates positivity. He is 74 years old and has worked hard his whole life. Randy has enjoyed working which has helped to keep him happy and active. One day at work he realized he was very winded and knew something was wrong. This led to Randy being diagnosed with MDS, a cancer of the blood. Since then he has completed 4 rounds of chemo while keeping a smile on his face the whole time. Randy was put on a waiting list to receive a bone marrow transplant and thank god in February of 2023 Randy & Luann found out they had a donor match from Europe.

On April 7th, Randy received a bone marrow transplant and is now in the hospital being closely monitored until the end of the month. The battle is not over and he will continue to fight for his life. Randy’s loving wife Luann had to quit her job months ago in order to take care of Randy full time. She has been by his side every step through this journey. Since they are both unable to work, this fundraiser is to help them cover both medical and living expenses.
