On April 14th, 2026, Raiden Augustus arrived at 37 weeks via C section to prevent mama from having another placenta abruption. Raiden cried instantly and after dad cut the cord, the nurses noticed something was wrong. The NICU nurse told us that Raiden was having difficulty breathing and that he was going to taken to the NICU, dad went with the nurses.

Mama and Dad anxiously waited for Raiden to come back to their hospital room but the nurses informed us he’d probably stay their our whole stay. When discharge day came, we begged them to let us stay another day, luckily they let us stay till the next day.

on Saturday morning, we got the heads up that unfortunately Raiden was not going to be able to go home with us. They planned on keeping him a couple days to another week.

Although, we are heartbroken to leave him, he was getting better day by day and we also understand that it’s for his safety.

We just found out that his stay in the NICU is a bit more than we imagined and we don’t have enough to cover the cost. Mom had to head out of work early without pay and dad had to help cover costs.

Anything helps and prayers for Raiden to make a speedy recovery and to come home soon are greatly appreciated!
