Bring “Noah’s Legacy” Home to Prairie Center Elementary

Prairie Center Elementary has always been a place full of heart — and now we have the opportunity to bring one very special heart home forever.

We are raising funds to purchase the Kansas City Parade of Hearts sculpture titled “Noah’s Legacy,” created by Prairie Center art teacher Lindsay Frack in collaboration with her students. This beautiful heartwork honors the life, courage, and compassion of former Prairie Center student Noah Wilson and his fight against pediatric cancer.

Noah was diagnosed with cancer in April 2014 when he was only six years old. Despite facing unimaginable challenges, Noah never lost his desire to help others. He had an enormous heart and constantly searched for ways to bring joy and comfort to people around him.

During treatment, Noah noticed that children at the hospital only had plain brown bandages after their daily pokes and procedures. To many, it may have seemed small — but Noah understood something important: a bandage can be more than just a wound cover. It can bring comfort, personality, and even a smile during a difficult moment.

So Noah began collecting fun and colorful bandages for other children battling illness. What started as a simple idea became Noah’s Bandage Project — a legacy of kindness that continues to impact children across the globe today.

Noah passed away in June 2015, but his compassion, generosity, and spirit continue to inspire our community every day.

By helping us bring “Noah’s Legacy” home to Prairie Center Elementary, you are helping preserve Noah’s story for future generations of students. This heart will serve as a permanent reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can create an extraordinary impact.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us honor Noah’s legacy and ensure his heart remains part of the Prairie Center family forever.

Thank you for helping us bring this heart home.
