Hello, my 77 year old father in law recently took a fall down the stairs shortly after his birthday. Already struggling with dementia, a total of 11 strokes in the past, and Alzheimer’s disease, he took some damage to his brain which he is slowly recovering from. As a long term result of the fall, he has sadly lost his ability to walk and is unable to return home due mobility restraints and will require long term care. I am currently laid off with no hope in sight for a new position, struggling to keep up with bills and payments for my family. My wife is unable to work as she is providing care for both her hospitalized father and two children. He has been in the hospital for almost 2 months currently and the staff are now requesting him to move to long term care which we simply can not afford. He had no pension from his job so we are really in a tight spot here.
We are really hoping to be able to provide him with the comforts he deserves going forward. He worked hard his entire life and we just want to ensure he is cared for properly.
Thank you!
