There are some people around Goodby Silverstein who were never technically on the payroll, but became a giant part of the fabric of this place.

Our parking lot attendant at 720 California Street, Pete Ong, is one of those people.

He was here before we moved in. Which means, in a very real way, he welcomed us into the building. Seven days a week. Every morning. Every night. Rain, fog, sunshine, bad days, great days. He met all of it with warmth and humor. He set the tone when we moved in.

While he’s never officially been a GSP employee, he has absolutely been one of us. He celebrated the good days with us and stood with us through the painful ones.

With our upcoming move from 720 California Street, we’ve learned that his parking company won’t be keeping him employed. So we wanted to do what this place does best when someone we care about needs support. Help how we can.
