In February 2023 my husband got his first diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer. He fought so hard that year with chemo, radiation, emergency complications and two difficult surgeries, by the end of 2023 he was cancer free and in remission. June 2024 after a routine CT scan the cancer returns and after a short course of radiation he gets another remission diagnosis when the new tumor shrinks.

In May our finances get hit with a wage garnishment totaling $54K for cancer treatments in 2023, this was a medical debt we thought had been mostly forgiven with our financial aide application ( we were wrong).

July of this year during another routine scan the shrunken tumor has grown and there is a new one adjacent ( metastatic cancer) . Our amazing team of doctors have given us all our facts for the third round and with a 25% chance of beating this a third time my husband has chosen to fight and chemo starts again September 15th.

With our family's encouragement we've created this GoFundMe to help with the expense of traveling to and from treatments, to help subsidize the loss of income and the uncertainty of what we are facing.
