In May, our sister received a diagnosis that changed everything: HER2-, ER/PR+ Stage 2 breast cancer. With remarkable courage, she chose to undergo a double mastectomy in July. The surgery was successful, but complications and the realities of recovery have made this a long and exhausting journey. Now, she is preparing for her second surgery.

She has faced every step with incredible strength. She has never complained, never asked for help, and continues to be the one everyone else can count on. The truth is, no one should have to carry this alone. After exhausting all of her PTO, every surgery, follow-up, and appointment now means going without pay. The medical bills, prescriptions, and daily living expenses continue to pile up, and with no paid medical leave in Florida, she is left fighting not only for her health but also for financial stability.

What makes her courage even more inspiring is that she is all alone in Florida, while the rest of us, her sisters and family, are up in New York and New Jersey. She has managed so much on her own with grace and resilience, but we know how heavy the toll has been.

She never asked us to do this. She is the kind of person who tries to carry the weight on her own. But we know how much she has been through, and we could not sit by without trying to help. This fundraiser comes from us, her sisters, out of love and the deep desire to give her the peace she so deserves.

That is why we are asking for your help. Our goal of $20,000 will give her the breathing room she needs to heal, covering medical and living expenses so she can focus fully on recovery.
