Supporting our Sweet Little Ava Through her Battle
Donation protected
Friends, Family, and Community,
We’re reaching out to ask for support and prayers for our sweet 8-year-old niece, Ava Groce, and her family—Cliff and Lisette Groce, along with Ava’s siblings, Gregory and Aiden.
On April 9, Ava was taken to the ER after experiencing ongoing stomach issues and headaches. After scans, doctors discovered a sizeable mass on her brain. She was admitted immediately and underwent brain surgery the next morning. We are so thankful that the doctors believe they were able to remove the entire mass. Ava is currently recovering at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia), where she is receiving excellent care.
Right now, we are waiting on pathology results to determine whether the mass was cancerous. She will also need additional MRIs to check her spine and monitor for any future concerns. Her treatment plan and long-term recovery are still unknown, and the coming weeks will hold many answers—and likely more challenges—for her and the family.
We’re asking for your help to support Cliff and Lisette as they step away from work to care for Ava and navigate this incredibly difficult time. We are hoping to raise financial support to alleviate medical and travel expenses, time off work, and any other unforeseen costs as they walk this road.
We are trusting in God’s provision and are incredibly grateful for the many people and churches already praying for Ava’s healing. If you’re able to give, pray, or share this with others, it would mean the world to our family.
With love,
Cliff's Siblings and Spouses
Colleen and Joe, Jenny and Wesley, Robin and Tommy, and Christopher.
