Hi, our family is raising funds to support our sister Stephie and her partner Chad as they navigate cancer treatment and the financial strain that comes with it. In November Stephanie was diagnosed with stage 4 High grade B-cell lymphoma. Overnight, their household income was cut in half due to treatment demands (chemotherapy) and time away from work. While most medical care is covered, the everyday costs of living are not: Rent, utilities, groceries, prescription drug costs, transportation, phone and internet, and other basic expenses continue regardless of illness. This fundraiser is intended to help cover some of those costs so that Stephie can focus on treatment and rest, rather than the stress of financial crisis. Our family is spread across Canada, and we are coming together in the ways we can, such as through creative work, community events, and by inviting others to help if they’re able. Every contribution helps reduce stress and allows Stephie to focus her energy on her health. We can't fight cancer for her, but we can try to temporarily carry some of her responsibilities so she can give it her all. There is absolutely no obligation to donate.
