Stand With Joey Barlow — Her Strength, Our Support
Donation protected
Our beloved friend and warrior, Joey Barlow, is in the fight of her life.
As many of you know, Joey has bravely battled Scleroderma for years with unmatched strength, resilience, and faith. She’s always been the one to lift others up — with her fierce love, her sass, and her unwavering spirit. Now, it’s our turn to lift her.
In just the past few weeks, Joey has endured more than most could imagine. She’s been hospitalized multiple times, fighting severe complications — including two bouts of sepsis, and contracting COVID while inpatient. Most recently, she was diagnosed with chronic acute respiratory failure and is now on 24/7 oxygen at home. Between stationary and portable oxygen equipment so she can safely attend her doctor appointments, her care needs have grown dramatically — and so have the costs.
Despite all of this, Joey continues to fight with grace, gratitude, and unshakable faith. She feels your prayers. Your messages, visits, and care packages have lifted her spirit in moments of deep exhaustion. She knows she is not fighting alone.
But the financial burden is overwhelming. Between extended hospital stays, medications, specialist care, and critical medical equipment not covered by insurance (like a pulse ox machine deemed “non-essential”), Joey and her family are struggling to keep up. The oxygen alone is an ongoing cost — and one she simply can’t live without.

If you're local, consider lending a hand:
Mowing the lawn
Taking trash and recycling down
She is still in need of a specialty pulse ox that can connect to her nose
Walking her sweet pup, Peanut Butter, once or twice a day
Offering a ride to doctor appointments when needed
And most importantly — keep those prayers coming. Joey believes in them. They are her anchor.
Joey’s dream is simple: to stabilize, heal, and return home to her pups Chocolate and Peanut Butter, and to reclaim her life. She’s already proven she’s stronger than this disease. Now let’s show her that she’s surrounded by an army that won’t let her fight alone.
