Help Tommie Williams & His Family: A Fight for Life and Hope

Hello, my name is Bria, and I’m a local Fundraising Director here in Columbus and Phenix City. I’ve always believed in the power of communities coming together to look out for one another. When one of us faces a challenge, we all face it, and when we lift each other up, we make everyone stronger.

As someone who’s deeply connected to this community, I’ve seen firsthand the strength and compassion that we have when we come together to support one of our own. Tommie is a beloved father, husband, and friend in Phenix City, but he's facing a life-threatening battle with kidney failure. His only chance for survival is a kidney transplant, which will give him a second chance to continue being the pillar of his family and community.

The road ahead is tough. After the surgery, Tommie will need 35 days of intensive care and recovery in the hospital. The medical expenses are overwhelming, and insurance only covers part of the cost. His wife, Barbara, will stay by his side, but their income will be severely impacted during this time.
