Introduction

Hello everyone, my name is Adrianna and I am one of the recent certified Polygraph Examiners from PEC Class 2025-01. I have created this gofundme for our Jamaican examiners on behalf of CAPP.

About this initiative

The Canadian Association of Police Polygraphists (CAPP) are rallying together to support our colleagues in Jamaica who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that struck the island on October 28, 2025.

Hurricane Melissa left behind catastrophic damage with winds up to 185 mph (298 km/h), destroying entire communities — tearing homes apart, taking down power lines and important infrastructure, and displacing families overnight.

Among those affected are our Jamaican Polygraph Examiners — our dedicated brothers and sisters . While it appears they are all safe at this time, many of their families have been effected, losing parts of their homes, essential belongings, and are struggling to meet even their most basic needs in the aftermath of the storm.

• Your donation will go directly to people who’ve been overlooked by larger donation companies, as those funds may not be reaching the examiners we know best.

TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC: Our Canadian Polygraph community consists of approximately 145 Canadian and International members. While our community may seem small, we all have a highly specialized skill set which creates a very unique bond. Our Jamaican contingent is a very special part of that community. If you have a friend or loved one that has gone through Polygraph Training, you know it is not an easy journey, but is a rewarding one. Our Jamaican examiners have it even harder. They work extremely hard to come to Canada, facing challenges others in our training do not, and serve their communities with honesty, integrity and loyalty.
