Hello everyone,

For some time now, our friend Chimma has been courageously fighting bowel cancer. She has already been through two surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy, and she has faced every stage of this journey with remarkable grace and strength. But the road has been long, hard, and it is not over yet.

Recent evaluations have confirmed that Chimma needs to continue treatment. Right now, the journey is ongoing, and Chimma still needs further treatment and support. She is doing all she can and is now exploring specialist treatment options in Germany that may offer new hope.

Because of her illness, Chimma has had to stop working. Chimma is a wife to her husband Vincent and a mum to her 4 year old son, and this season has placed immense emotional, physical, and financial strain on the whole family. Her devoted husband has also become her full time carer, carrying that responsibility with love and sacrifice. Alongside all they are facing, the financial weight has been steadily growing.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease some of that burden.

Chimma has not given up. She gets up each day and keeps going. The very least we can do is help ensure she does not have to fight this battle on an empty tank.

Our beloved Chimma has always been someone who shows up for others with warmth, quiet strength, contagious joy, and boundless love. Now it is our turn to show up for her.

While we have set a fundraising goal, this is only a starting point. Chimma’s treatment journey is ongoing, and the cost of continued care, specialist treatment, and supporting her family through this season will likely exceed this amount.
