Asking for help like this is uncomfortable, but our family is in a place where we can’t do this alone anymore.
Our daughter Hailey (14) was recently admitted to Avery’s House for inpatient mental health treatment after serious safety concerns related to self-harm. Getting her into care quickly was the only option to protect her, but her treatment isn’t covered by insurance, leaving us responsible for the full cost.
At the same time, our younger daughter Abby (3) needed eye surgery to protect her vision, and I am facing an upcoming elbow surgery that’s necessary for me to keep working. On top of that, our primary family vehicle suffered a major transmission failure, creating another unexpected expense during an already overwhelming time.
My wife and I both work in the medical field, which is demanding and unfortunately not high-paying. We each work a full-time job and a part-time job to support our four daughters. Recently, my work hours have been further limited due to required schooling for professional advancement, reducing our income right when these emergencies hit.
We’ve cut every non-essential expense, taken on 401K loans, and are selling personal items to try to stay afloat. Even with that, the combined cost of medical care, treatment, and basic stability is more than we can manage on our own.
We’re hoping to raise $30,000 to help cover Hailey’s inpatient care, Abby’s surgery, transportation repairs, and prep for my upcoming surgery. Every donation will go directly toward keeping our family stable and ensuring our kids get the care they need.
If you’re able to donate or share this, we are incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping us through one of the hardest moments our family has faced.
