Supporting our dear friend, Debi Waldron

Donation protected
Debi Waldron is a beautiful wife who has been married to John for 41 years. She said that when she and John got married, they promised each other that they'd "be together until the end." She is keeping her promise, and it's breaking our hearts, but filling us with renewed faith in the real, true kind of love where you do the hard things. Showing up and putting in the work when it matters (and when it's more difficult than you could have ever anticipated), is the foundation of a lasting relationship. Debi is an amazing example of the most loving spouse and we admire her more than she knows.

Unfortunately for Debi, "the end" of her time on earth with John is coming sooner than any of us would have guessed. Debi's husband, John, has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. The mass is so large and the cancer has spread extensively throughout his body that there isn't much any medical professional can do to prolong his life. John has been put on Hospice Care in his home and they're giving him a few weeks, at most, to live.

While trying to work through the emotions of the tragic news that her spouse will pass soon, Debi has become the caretaker who feeds, bathes, and comforts John. She has coordinated for family and friends to visit to say their last goodbyes and she hosts them in her home. Debi also continues to work a full-time job because financially, she and John depend on his retirement and her work salary. She also says, "My work family is my family too! I need the support and the love I get at the office - and I need the money - so I'll be coming into work as long as John doesn't need me at home."

Let us tell you about our friend, Debi. Debi is the lady who:
Brags like a proud mother about her wonderful daughters and her sons-in-law.
Shows everyone videos and pictures of her grandchildren and plans fun outings and sleepovers with them.
Is the "Mom" of her work office and takes care of everyone and keeps them in line (because tough love is also real love).
Makes quilts for her coworkers whenever they have a celebration (new baby, wedding, or more).
Makes friends with anyone she talks to because she's genuinely so loving and so real that people gravitate toward her.
Gives the best hugs and the best advice.

So many people have asked what they can do to help Debi during this difficult time. While flowers and gift baskets are nice, the real truth is that when John passes, Debi will face a new hardship: financial burdens.

John, specifically, is worried about what Debi is going to do when he passes. It's sweet and brings tears to our eyes. We'd love to be able to ease his worry.

We're asking those of you who know Debi, John, and their family to donate to this fund so we can ease some of the financial stress Debi will soon face.
We're also asking you to share this post so even people who don't know Debi can financially bless her life and make her future a little less worrisome.

Debi is one-of-a-kind and we truly can't think of a better person to receive financial assistance, prayers, love, good vibes, karma, love and light, and anything else that will give her peace, comfort, and a feeling of security.

We know it is cliche to say "every little bit helps," but we can't think of another way to say it. Any amount you can donate to this amazing lady will be a blessing to her life and we would be so grateful.

PS - Before creating this Fundraiser, we called Debi's daughters and got their approval so we didn't step on their toes. We also asked Debi for her blessing to post this. No one likes to be a "project," but we convinced Debi that now is the time to let other people help her because she's spent most of her life helping everyone around her. She has always been the giver, and we're now asking her to be the receiver - because she deserves it!

PPS - GoFundMe takes a percentage of your contribution (From Go Fund Me: A transaction fee of 2.9% +$0.30 is automatically deducted from each donation.)
Many people have also asked us for Debi's Venmo account info. (From Venmo: There are no fees for sending money using a debit card, bank balance, or Venmo balance. Venmo charges a 3% transaction fee total if you use a credit card.)
If you'd like to Venmo money to Debi directly, her Venmo is Debra-Waldron (the photo, to make sure you're sending money to the right person, is the same photo you see on this Fundraiser).
