We are so grateful to everyone that has reached out after hearing about the passing of our sweet dad and grandfather, George Miller III. People have asked if there is anything that they can do to help support our mom/grandmother, Karen Miller, so we have decided to start this GoFundMe account to help her during this difficult time.
As many of you know, George passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease and our mom is now faced with living without her love of the past 53 years after spending most every day by his side. Specifically in the past few years as George’s disease progressed, Karen was his dedicated full-time caregiver. Now, as she navigates this profound loss, we want to ensure she has the financial peace of mind to grieve this huge loss and begin to heal.
George was a remarkable man, known for his lifelong passion for bowling. He loved nothing more than sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport with others through coaching or just providing tips during a fun, yet competitive, few games at the local alleys. In fact, it was at Westgate Bowling Alley where George and Karen met, a testament to how deeply bowling was woven into the fabric of their lives.
For years, Karen poured her heart and soul into caring for him. This was a labor of love, but it also meant her focus was entirely on his well-being. Now, as she faces a future without her partner of over five decades, we want to alleviate any financial burdens so she can focus on herself and her healing journey.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide her with crucial financial support during this transition. These funds will help cover everyday living expenses, allowing her the space to grieve without the added stress of immediate financial worries. It will give her time to adjust to a new chapter and find her footing.
Any contribution, no matter the size, would be a tremendous help and deeply appreciated. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others who knew and loved George, or anyone who can empathize with the challenges of losing a long-term partner and caregiver.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly challenging time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
