Supporting Nicole After the Loss of Her Wife, Chloe Roberts
My name is Matthew Viana, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Nicole and her beloved wife, Chloe Roberts.
For those who may not know their story, Chloe was diagnosed with Leukemia 10 months ago. Since then, she endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, numerous surgeries, and spent over 120 days in the hospital. One of the most challenging parts of this journey was a 4-month stay in Nashville for a stem cell transplant.
With a heavy heart, I share that on July 25, 2025, Chloe passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love.
Over the past 10 months, Chloe and Nicole faced unimaginable physical, emotional, and financial hardship. As Chloe’s full-time caregiver, Nicole had to reduce her hours at work, and the weight of bills, rent, and everyday expenses became overwhelming.
Now, as Nicole grieves the loss of her wife and navigates funeral expenses, we are asking for your help. If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world. Your support over the last year has been deeply appreciated, and we know Nicole and Chloe felt the love from near and far.
About Nicole and Chloe
Nicole and Chloe’s love story began in 2020, when they met in Killeen, Texas. Chloe was stationed at Fort Hood, having enlisted in the U.S. Army right out of high school. For five years, she proudly served her country with strength and determination. Traits that would later define the way she fought her illness.
Nicole has spent her career in service to others as a dedicated member of the Fort Bend County EMS team. Compassionate, grounded, and selfless, she’s the kind of person who shows up; for her community, her patients, and especially for the people she loves.
From the moment they met, Chloe and Nicole shared a deep bond built on family, humor, and an unwavering love for one another. In 2021, they got engaged and made Sugar Land, TX their home. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows in May of 2023, a day filled with joy, hope, and the promise of a life together.
Together, they created a quiet but powerful life centered around service, family, and unconditional love. Even as Chloe’s health declined, their connection never wavered. Nicole stood faithfully by Chloe’s side every step of the way, caring for her with strength and tenderness through every surgery, treatment, and sleepless night.
Their love was, and continues to be, an example of what it means to truly show up for one another, in sickness and in health.
