Nick Stafford, better known as Uptown Goblin to the gaming world, suffered a stroke on December 13th, 2025. Nick began to feel unwell that Saturday evening and experienced an acute stroke that left the right side of his body temporarily paralyzed. Thanks to the quick action of his wife, Ashley, emergency services were able to stabilize him and rush him to the hospital. Nick has undergone brain surgery to remove blood clots that caused his stroke. Nick has regained the use of his right side and his speech has returned. But Nick's road to recovery is far from over. Nick will require physical and speech therapy multiple times a week. His race to full recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. His brain, body, and mind will require time, love, and support to reach his new normal. The Stafford family appreciates all of the prayers, love, and support sent their way.
