Help for Healthcare: Supporting NY and ATL

Hello All,

My name is Jeren Wei. I am first-year student at Emory University from Westchester, New York. Having grown up in New York all of my life, it breaks my heart to see the community hit so hard by COVID-19. New York state has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the United States. With medical supplies in dire need and medical professionals hard at work, the New York medical system is under great strain. With your help, I hope to support these health care workers as they treat patients at the front lines in local New York Hospitals including Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, White Plains Hospital, and Queens Mount Sinai. Beyond New York, we have expanded to Atlanta and hope to expand to New Jersey and South Carolina. 

I am independently raising funds with the objective of purchasing and delivering meals from local restaurants to hospitals and supplying personal protective equipment and other medical supplies including surgical masks. The goal is to raise 30,000 dollars, and all funds will be used to pay PPE suppliers and local restaurants. For every 10 dollars that you donate, we would be able to provide one meal for one healthcare worker during this time of crisis. Also, 2,000 dollars would be able to protect 200 workers for 15 days (National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases).
