Anyone who knows my mom knows that she has the kindest heart, and is one of the most giving and caring people in the world. She never hesitates to lend a hand, or an ear, or just be a shoulder to cry on. She goes out of her way to help and care for those around her. However, she is now in the position where she needs others to support and care for her.
On July 21st, my mom developed a fever and began experiencing severe head and neck pain. As the next few days passed, her symptoms only worsened. She visited the local ER, and when they ruled out Covid and most other common illnesses, they sent her home with pain medication and told her to follow up with her doctor. The symptoms continued to worsen and she returned to the ER days later, only to be told the same thing.
On August 1st, my mom was taken to Harborview, where she was very quickly admitted and was able to be seen by many specialists, to try and figure out what has been causing her pain, extremely high fever and new respiratory symptoms. Progress has been slow, and a discharge date is still unclear at this point.
Because of this illness, my mom has been unable to work for over 3 weeks. Since so much is still unknown, we don’t know when she will be able to return to work- even after discharge, she has a long road towards recovery ahead of her.
If you would like to assist with this financial burden, any donation is extremely appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to my moms medical costs and bills so she doesn’t have to worry about anything other than getting better.
