Friends,
We are inviting you to participate and show your support on behalf of Nakia Palmer, a dear friend, and fighter in her battle against Hodgkin lymphoma. Let's rally together to support Nakia, a remarkable friend known for her selfless generosity, unwavering faith, and dedication to serving others.
As a devoted yogi, teacher, and mentor, Nakia has positively impacted countless lives. Now, it's our chance to show our support and make her journey a little easier.
Nakia received her diagnosis on July 13, 2023, and has since undergone grueling chemotherapy treatments. On January 10, 2024, she triumphantly rang the bell signifying the end of her chemotherapy, only to face a devastating setback with a relapse on February 21, 2024.
Nakia's resilience and unshakable faith have been a source of inspiration to all who know her. Despite the challenges she has faced, she continues to move forward with grace and determination.
The next phase of treatment will require her to take extensive time away from work and will include additional chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. As a result, she will be hospitalized for 1 month and will require 3-4 subsequent months of recovery.
The mounting medical expenses, coupled with the prospect of being out of work for several months, have placed a significant burden. As her friends and community, let’s rally together to offer our support during this challenging time.
Your contribution will provide much-needed assistance to help cover medical expenses, transportation costs, and other essentials while Nakia focuses on her health and recovery. Together, let's show Nakia that she is not alone in this fight. Your generosity and kindness will help ease the burden of her treatment and allow her to concentrate on what matters most – beating cancer.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
