My name is Mahad Abdullahi Sahal, I am a football Coach. I coach young people such as u16s, u14s and u12s in London. The main reason for this appeal is because I have a football team called Nabada Academy who are based in Somalia. All of my players come from a poor background and I’ve been supporting them since 2017 in terms of setting up football tournaments, purchasing equipment and hiring football pitches. I was blessed with an opportunity from Andereanah Marcos Foundation who will help my talented boys to get a chance to be scouted and they are very excited for this opportunity. This is an appeal to support me and my academy to go to Paris for a Football Tournament run by Andereanah Marcos Foundation as we do not have the money to go there. This money would be used on equipment, transport and accommodation for the players. Can you support by donating any amount you are comfortable with as it will be truly appreciated by the players who struggle for a once in a lifetime opportunity like this. Most of my players are orphans and can sometimes even struggle for food and daily health requirements. If this appeal is successful, it would give them hope to achieve their goals and their potential to become professional footballers. These boys are really talented, all they need is your support. Without your support, they cannot achieve their potential. They play on the sand with hardly any protection, no shinpads, and some cannot even afford football trainers. They can get scratched on the sand by bottles or rocks. I’m really worried about their well-being and I hope you can support them to have access to equipments including those for health and safety.
