Supporting my Mother-in-Law who broke her hip

Donation protected
It’s fall of year 2015, Doyle and I were taking a drive from Atlanta to Franklin, North Carolina to show me the amazing Great Smoky Mountains, the magnificent fall colors, and to meet his family, who, unbeknownst to me at the time, would be my future in laws and son. As we pull up to a cute little booth at flea market, I get out of the car in a skirt and heels, you know, to impress, only to trip over the rocky walkway and embarrass myself. Georgeanna instantly greeted me with a huge smile and hug and right then I felt more at ease and knew that I would be lucky to be a part of her family and call her Mother one day. She has been nothing but wonderful, kind and someone I truly enjoy just sitting down with, having a cup of Joe and just chatting away about anything annd everything. Hours easily pass by when in the company of Georgeanna.

I’m here to raise funds for Georgeanna, my kind Mother in law, who tripped at her home last week and broke her hip. She normally lives alone with her chihuahua children Missy and Chico, who she so desperately misses and wants to get home too asap, but was so blessed to have a family member staying with her so she was able to call out to her for help and get her transported to the Asheville’s hospital. She underwent surgery where she had part of her hip replaces due to the severity of the break. She has now been transported to a rehab home back in Franklin so she can hopefully get the right kind of help she needs to get up, walk and get back to her babies.

Times are hard and money is tight. I know that goes for all of us. Money is already taking its toll and weighing heavily on her with her regular bills, but now she is having to stress and delay her healing with the already stacking up hospital and medical bills, but she will also need devices like a motorized chair, a hospital bed, and a reliable walker, and these are a few things That she needs and she will need them sooner than later. She needs new flooring in her home as it’s literally deteriorating and there are places where you can see they to the outside ground. This is wildly unsafe and a major fall risk with her hip and walker. Also, her stove and oven are currently not working and that needs to be replaced so she can have better cooked meals to help her heal and get better.

Even just a few dollars goes a long way and I would love nothing more than to give her a Christmas miracle like the one God gave me last Christmas with all the love and support that everyone showed me. Me and my family couldn’t have done it without all the love and support from family, friends, and friends of friends and family and now I would love nothing more than to do that for her, someonewho could really use the support way more. You would be giving an amazing and deserving person the hope and help she needs to keep pushing forward. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you to those who can lend a helping hand, prayer, or thoughts.
