Hi, I’m Katrina — a wife and mum to five amazing kids.

Back in August, I discovered a sizeable lump in my breast, which was then confirmed as a carcinoma. The stress of this journey has been overwhelming and has forced me to stop working. I looked into income protection, but unfortunately, payments won’t begin until January.

We had a small nest egg, which I’ve been using to fund alternative treatments in the hope of beating cancer.

Creating this page hasn’t been easy — I know so many people are facing challenges far greater than mine. But I’m reaching out in the hope that someone might be able to contribute, even a little, to help cover the cost of these treatments and ease the financial strain while I’m unable to return to work.

I truly love my job and feel blessed by the incredible support and understanding I’ve received from friends, family and colleagues.

One of the biggest things I need to focus on right now is reducing stress — something that doesn’t come easily to me. If this support can help relieve some of that pressure without adding guilt, it would mean the world to me and my family.
