We are the brothers Issam and Alaa Al-Shaer. Palestinian refugees from Gaza. We live in the Belgian city of Ghent. We created this campaign to support our family in Gaza because of the devastating war there.

My family's life before the war

The neighbourhood we lived in before and after the war.

In light of the devastating war, I am launching this campaign to support my immediate family in Gaza: my mother, father, sister, and her four children. We are aiming to raise 30,000 euros to provide them with the financial means necessary to cover their essential needs during these harrowing times.

The situation in Gaza is dire, with prices skyrocketing and necessities such as food and water becoming scarce and expensive. The conflict has not only destroyed homes but also made it incredibly difficult for my family to find safe shelter and maintain any semblance of a normal life.

Here is how the funds will be allocated:

1. **Essential Living Expenses**: The primary focus of this campaign is to ensure that my family can afford necessities such as food and water. The funds will be sent in instalments to provide continuous support, adapting to their changing needs as the situation evolves.

2. **Shelter and Safety**: A significant portion of the donations will go towards securing temporary shelters for my family, whose homes have been destroyed. This is crucial for protecting them from the ongoing conflict and providing a safe space.

3. **Health **: The funds will also cover medical supplies and healthcare needs for any injured or sick family members. This includes necessary medications, first aid supplies, and potential medical treatment costs.

4. **Mobility and Stability**: Given the unpredictable nature of war, the funds will assist my family in relocating to safer areas when needed and support them in finding temporary stability until the war ceases.

5. **Rebuilding and Recovery**: Lastly, the funds will help in the gradual rebuilding of my family's life, providing them with basic furniture and other necessities to create a livable environment amid the chaos.

Every euro raised will be thoughtfully allocated to meet the immediate and longer-term needs of my mother, father, sister, and her children. Your generous support can make a significant difference in their lives, offering a glimmer of hope and stability during these dark times.
