Supporting Moses Mutua’s Medical Bill

Donation protected
Moses M. Mutua is a husband, a father, a church deacon and a programmer and distributor of audio Bibles for those who cannot read in rural Africa. He is passionate about the gospel and has always wanted to help others access the good news in their language.

In February this year life took an unfortunate turn when Moses suffered a life threatening heart attack that saw him go through a delicate heart procedure in Nairobi, Kenya where remained in hospital for three weeks. Thankfully he pulled through that episode.

He continued with hospital visits going through rehabilitation processes after the heart surgery.

However on November 10 things took yet another turn when he suffered a very serious again life-threatening stroke following a blood clot in the brain.

He remained in intensive care for 3 weeks and several times it looked like he was losing the battle with his blood pressure going too low and oxygen levels reducing to very scary levels. For a week he was intubated as he retained cO2 causing his brain to swell. Once again the doctors thought it was a matter hours. Yet again Moses pulled through.

Its been a month since this happened. And a week since Moses left intensive care and on to the normal ward.

In the last few days Moses has stabilized significantly and has spent his days without being put on oxygen support.

The doctors have now reached a comfortable place where they’re ready to release Moses for home-based care and rehabilitation.

They believe change of environment will accelerate his healing process.

Of course there is still a long journey ahead to try to restore his speech and oral feeding capabilities. He is also still paralyzed on the upper and lower right limbs. He is going to use an oxygen concentrator at night and a byPap machine due to the severe obstructive sleep apnea.

But even with all these struggles, it is our belief that God has continued to preserve Moses’s life in so many occasions for his own purposes. So we are wanting to help him back on his feet to do what the Lord still has in store for him in terms of assignment on this side of eternity.

Once we settle the remaining bill of $22,500 this dear servant of God will be on his way home to his family.

Will you help us with a gift of any size towards this need?

Thank you so much and God bless you.

His wife Chantal, and his sons Jabali and Ahadi.
