Supporting Monte's Fight Against ALS

Dear friends and family,

We come to you today with heavy hearts and a plea for support on behalf of Monte Clearman. Throughout his 42 years in the worship ministry, he has met a great number of people who have been with him through many different stages of life. Monte is a father to six children, a 'Pops' to four beautiful grandchildren, and a friend to many. Recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, Monte is facing an uphill battle that extends beyond his control. This challenging journey has brought unforeseen financial burdens, as he navigates mounting medical bills, phone expenses for vital communication, and the desire to enhance his overall quality of life.

Monte has always been a pillar of strength in our community, offering a helping hand and a warm smile to everyone he encounters. Now, it's our turn to rally around him, providing the support he needs during this difficult time. This past year alone, he has gone through a divorce, the loss of one of his three brothers and now, this terminal diagnosis. ALS is a progressive and debilitating neurodegenerative disease, and while Monte and his family confront the physical and emotional toll it brings, we want to ease the financial strain he is experiencing. Due to the progression of this disease, he is now confined to a wheelchair and has limited use of his limbs, as well as difficulty speaking, rendering him unable to work to provide for himself.

Additionally, funds will be allocated to support his ongoing phone bills, allowing him to stay connected with loved ones, medical professionals, and essential services.
