Dear friends and community,

Today, we reach out with full hearts on behalf of one of our beautiful members, Monica Greta Ackermann—a vibrant, kind-hearted woman age 33 —who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for bowel cancer.

We understand Monica's cancer was under control and she was on the path to being cancer free but unfortunately a more detailed scan showed the cancer has progressed to other part of her body (pelvis, abdomen, ovaries).

To give Monica the best fighting chance, she will start treatment in Germany for dendritic cell therapy and any other therapies that can be found suitable for her disease. As she has to stray from the standard form of care that the public system provide (which is currently not responding well), this treatment will have to come from her pocket. We are currently looking at treatment between 26,000 - 150,000 euros we really need to raise as much as we can so Monica can try anything to save her life.

Monica is facing this diagnosis with courage and grace, but she urgently needs access to more advanced treatments and ongoing counselling therapy. These options could significantly improve her chances in survival and both her recovery - but they come at a cost.

Our Goal:

We aim to raise $150,000 to support:

• Further progressive treatment options such as chemotherapy abroad

• Professional counselling during and after chemotherapy

• General living expenses, as Monica is unable to work during her treatment
