Supporting Monica & Dave's fight.

Hi, my name is Ronan, and I'm hoping to raise funds to help support my friends Monica Dinescu & Dave Duff. In early April of this year, Monica received the devastating news that she had developed Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC).

At the beginning of December 2021, Monica began to experience chest pain. Being only 31, Monica quite naturally assumed the pain to be nothing more than a slight injury or perhaps a viral infection. This was initially supported by a GP/hospital diagnosis of Costochondritis (inflammation of the cartilage connecting the ribcage/sternum). However, the pain persisted & worsened, and after GP referral and a subsequent 4-week stay in SJUH, a diagnosis of Stage IV MBC was confirmed.

The news has turned Monica & Dave's lives upside down. Instead of celebrating Monica's recent Law School graduation, planning their engagement and looking forward to a future together, Monica and Dave are instead facing up to the fight of their lives.

However, both Monica & Dave have been and remain unbelievably positive in the face of such adversity. With the help of her fantastic team at St. James' University Hospital, Monica has begun hormone treatment, and both she & Dave are very hopeful for a positive outcome. By donating, we can, in some small part, help to remove some of the financial burdens and worries inherent to winning this fight.
