This fundraiser has been organised by close friends of The Brown Family. Monica has taken time off work to support her three sons, James, Riley, Rhys and nephew Jesse following the sudden loss of her husband, Cameron.
Over Christmas, Cameron became suddenly and critically ill when an infection caused catastrophic brain damage in a very short period of time. He passed away shortly after. His death was completely unexpected and very sudden.
Monica is now caring for three teenage sons and one teenage nephew as the family grieves and adjusts to life without Cameron.
They live on a farm, where Cameron previously carried out most of the physical labour himself. Alongside the emotional impact of his loss, the family is facing immediate practical and financial challenges — everyday living costs, school expenses, funeral costs, and essential work around the farm that still needs to be done.
Monica has taken a term away from work to support the children through their grief and help the family find stability during this time. This has resulted in a significant loss of income at an already difficult time.
This fundraiser has been created to help cover essential costs in the months ahead, including groceries, funeral and school expenses, and immediate living needs, so the family can focus on healing.
Any support, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated.
