Supporting Mimi of Cypress Cafe in Her Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and loved ones,
Our beloved mom, Mimi, was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As a family, we are facing this moment with strength, love, and determination. While the road ahead will be challenging, our focus is on her recovery, and we are hopeful for healing and brighter days to come.
Many of you know Mimi from Cypress Cafe, where she has poured her heart into every dish she’s made. Sharing Korean food with the San Antonio community has brought her incredible joy. Cooking for others has always been her way of expressing love, and she’s worked tirelessly to bring people together through food.
Now, Mimi is stepping away from the kitchen to fully focus on her health and treatment. We know this journey will not be easy, but we are standing by her side every step of the way. Our goal is simple: to help her regain her strength and return to doing what she loves most.
Mimi is the heart and soul of our family. We are committed to doing everything we can to support her through this time. We believe in her strength, and we are holding on to hope for a full and lasting recovery.
What lifts her spirits more than anything is hearing from the community she loves so deeply. Your messages, prayers, and support remind her that she is not facing this alone. Knowing that so many people care gives her the courage to face each day with determination.
Thank you for surrounding our mom with your love, encouragement, and strength. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you.
With love,
Mimi’s Family
Message from Mimi:
Hello everyone,
I worked over 25 years at the Cypress cafe and it has brought me so much joy cooking Korean food and sharing it with all of you. It makes me happy to be part of this community.
This news was very shocking to me. I am scared for me and my family but I know that God is good and He will help our family! I know that the treatment will be hard but I want to stay strong. What will help me most is hearing from my friends and family. It will help me get through the hard days and keep going.
Please pray for me! It would mean so much to me. It will make a big difference in my recovery.
Thank you for being in my life. I hope one day I can return to the kitchen and cook for all of you again.
With love,
Mimi
