Supporting Mike’s Healing Journey

Some dear friends of mine who are truly good humans, Leslyn and Mike Wiese, have been deeply affected on so many levels during this past year.  They are a family with 7 kids who have been married for 31 years.  Leslyn is a nurse in the Covid ICU who is now working two nursing jobs to have insurance and enough to cover their family expenses, which is more important than ever because this past year Mike found out he had Stage 4 colorectal cancer that spread to the liver.  He is currently in his second version of chemo and has been unable to work for many months.  Now in the midst of having to care for her family during a time when they all need love and she would like to be there to support Mike during his chemo, Leslyn is working non-stop.  They are the kind of people who always help everyone else... they would never directly ask for help, but when I asked her if I could do this GoFundMe, she said, "At this point, I just have to ask the universe for help in any way I can."  Everyone who knows Mike loves him... and he loves them.  He is a genuinely nice guy who would do anything for anyone.   You can see this in every aspect of his life.... from the children they adopted to the way he loves everyone around him.  He is the kind of the guy who created a "Giving Tree" in his neighborhood where he hangs food everyday for the homeless population and anyone who needs it.    He is always giving to everyone and to the planet.  Mike is a hydrogeologist who cleans up toxic waste super fund sites.   All funds donated will be used for medical bills that insurance does not cover and to support their family.   Leslyn said that the most important thing they need now is for everyone to pray and send good vibes.  Any help at all will do so much to help this incredible family.  We all need each other now, more than ever.   Please do what you can.
