Supporting Mickie Landol’s Family in Her Memory
Donation protected
Milagros “Mickie” Landol was a 22-year vet of the NYPD, a basketball coach and mentor, a writer, and her greatest joy, a mom. Throughout her 63 years, she brought love, laughter, and calm to those around her. Sadly on December 27, 2020, Mickie passed away, leaving behind her son, Victor, and a community that loved her dearly.
Throughout the past year, Victor devoted his time to taking care of his mother while she was in and out of the hospital due to a heart condition. Victor, an actor and part-time chauffeur, was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic and remains out of work like millions of others.
Unfortunately, like so many others who are called back by God early, Mickie was not fully prepared. She left behind no will and only a small insurance policy to cover the costs of the funeral.
We are organizing this GoFundMe to help Victor cover household, legal, and other outstanding expenses. If you knew Mickie in life or are touched by her story, please know that no donation is too small. We are setting a goal of $30,000.
Thank you for any help you can give.
