We are rallying around our dear friend Michelle, who was diagnosed in November 2025 with stage 4 Lung cancer that had already metastasized to her bones and brain. In a matter of months, her life—and the lives of her daughters—has been turned upside down.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Michelle underwent emergency surgery to insert a rod into her femur to stabilize her leg due to the cancer. Since then, she has been in and out of the hospital with bleeding tumors, a blood clot, and multiple fractures in her spine, legs, and pelvis. These complications have made everyday life incredibly painful and challenging, and she now requires ongoing in-home care and physical therapy as she continues treatment and recovery. Despite all of the new challenges, Michelle still carries her never-ending positive attitude, and is still choosing to laugh despite the pain.

Michelle is the single and the sole caregiver for her adult daughter Julie, who is disabled and depends on daily support. At this time, the family urgently needs help arranging day services and caregiving support for Julie, so Michelle can focus on her health and healing.

Michelle’s other daughter, Katie, has stepped in to manage the household and coordinate her mom’s care—juggling overwhelming responsibilities while trying to stay strong for her family.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Building a wheelchair ramp for the home

• In-home nursing care and physical therapy for Michelle

• Medical and recovery-related expenses

• Day services and caregiving support for Julie

• Household and living expenses during this critical time
